Girls cross country will compete for a state title on November 12 after a 4th place finish at the 6A South Regional Championship at Great Meadows on Wednesday.

The team was seeded to place 7th and not expected to advance on, but they scored a total of 116 points, with a team time average of 20:32.

Forge had two medalists: Allison Fick (’19) placed 2nd, and Alexis Smith placed 14th (’18) out of the 94 girls competing that day.

The team returns to Great Meadows for the state meet.
