Meet Cameron Brown
May 31, 2017
Meet Cameron Brown, a senior at Forge who hopes to capture the beauty in the world.
Talon: When did you first realize you liked photography?
Cameron Brown: “I’ve always loved photography. I got my first camera for my ninth birthday, which is when I really started to develop a passion for it.”
T: How does taking pictures make you feel?
CB: “Taking pictures is such a satisfying feeling because it is such a raw and honest way to create art.”
T: When/where/how did you learn how to use the camera?
CB: “I got my first DSLR camera in eighth grade and I taught myself how to use it over the course of two years.”
T: How long have you been interested in photography?
CB: “I’ve been interested in photography since I was eight.”
T: What do you see yourself doing in the future with photography?
CB: “I hope I’ll continue to capture the beautiful things in the world in all the ways they come. I like photography because it is honest while still being beautiful. There is no way to distort what the viewer sees without PhotoShop so it’s a brutally honest art.”
T: What kinds of pictures do you like to take?
CB: “I love portrait photography!”
T: Do you edit your photos? What is your editing process?
CB: “I take the photos from my camera and I run them through Lightroom. Sometimes the editing is minimum, like a raised exposure and other times it’s more intense with color alterations and shadow manipulation.”
T: Where do you like to take photos? In a studio-like environment, nature, etc.?
“I take photos in both studio environments and in nature!”
